Get ready for an exciting day at the Chattanooga Food Center's very first Good Food Fair, happening on October 5th from 10 AM to 2 PM at the BlueCross BlueShield Healthy Place in Highland Park!
Bring the whole family for a day of fun and learning at the park! Kids will dive into hands-on activities like planting seeds, joining cooking demonstrations, and learning to compost to reduce food waste. They’ll also enjoy arts and crafts, tasty snacks, storytime, and exciting games. Meanwhile, parents can connect with on-site pediatricians, dentists, and nutritionists in a relaxed, no-pressure setting to get answers to their children’s health questions. Plus, explore a wide range of local resources from vendors like La Paz, Lifespring Clinic, and the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. This community-focused event is designed to empower families and improve the health and wellness of Chattanooga’s children.
Vendor Marketplace/Resource Fair
A resource fair and marketplace for families will be located under the pavilion so parents can receive important information/resources from pediatricians and dentists, register for WIC or SNAP if applicable, and get connected with relevant local nonprofits and organizations that offer food and nutrition assistance.
Food Trucks/Food Demonstrations
We will have culinary instructors showcase healthy eating with samples and have food trucks on site with a focus on the theme of "good food".
